CD Launch

Hey Mook release their new album 'Never gets you anywhere' and will be launching it at the Venue [Wooby’s Lane, Salamanca Place] on Friday 10th of December.

Recorded and mastered at Red Planet by Stew Long , 'Never gets you anywhere' is the Mooks most polished effort yet and a worthy follow up to the critically acclaimed predecessor, Crash Into You.

The core of the band have been together for 18 years and it comes through strongly on the new record which is a musical journey from beginning to end. This album is a slice of life from the seams in ol' Hobart Town to Mars and back. The songs are delivered with an ample serve of edginess and a resounding display of musicianship.

These are songs for the ages.

The Mooks are now a seven piece band and on several tracks incorporate the talents of Luke Blanton and Bailey Tambling –the horns of dilemma!

The night promises to be a memorable one with Hey Mook playing songs from their three albums, Enola Fall and a debut support by the Nonchalants, the new band formed by legendary Hobart drummer Brendon ‘Pig’ Muskett and guitarist Jet Hammock.

Hey Mook's new long player 'Never gets you anywhere' may be pre ordered at The Hobart Bookshop and will go on sale at the launch for $20. It will be available in all good music stores from Monday the 13th of December.

Doors open at the Venue at 9 p.m. with a $5.00 cover charge.
