MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA: International web giant MookInc has suffered severe disruption to it's core computing activities in Melbourne by spam from various sources. The organisations systems manager, UMOOKU, claims to have the situation under control. However, when asked how the alleged flood of spam started, he seemed to be lost for words. There were red faces all around as the alleged flood of spam was found to be partially initiated by UMOOKU himself. 'Most of the damage appears to have been done by UMOOKU himself in his pathetic attempts to communicate with other Mooks', claimed an unidentified Defence Department Spokesperson who has been at the center of allegations of spam mongering.

Foreign minister, Mr Alexander Downer, who was reportedly appalled by what he described as, 'a shocking waste of time and money' has denied any involvement in the affair. 'I wasn't there', he said, as the finger of blame was pointed towards various government agencies. Alleged participants in the Spam Scandal include The Hobart City Council and The Department of Defence. 'I am finding it very hard to get any work done' claimed UMOOKU.
