Kamp Livid 200 .. read more .. MELBOURNE SATURDAY 19th OCTOBER 2002 : man finds himself at LIVID and asks how he got here, the generation gap is wider than the gaping hole in his wallet but here, leaning against the barrier watching the crowd surfers getting escorted off after enjoying GRINSPOON way too much, he has found his tribe for the day.

The Rev as they are affectionately known play a set comprising mostly of material from All is Dream and the crowd killer coming off Deserter's Songs in the form of Godess of the Highway. Man feels that he spent his hard earned very well indeed. In ads they appear as a three piece but in reality are a six piece including not one, but two key-boardists. 'What a bonus' thinks man.

The Rev saw in the sunset and left OASIS fans stranded at stage two to shiver in the cold as canny punters ran off to The Big Top to take in a spot of The Dirty Three, The John Butler Trio and MORRISSEY before heading home. All the next day the beautiful transcendant music of the Revsters rang through the mans head. Although this page is a blatant attempt to draw attention to his own projects he feels you will none the less enjoy your stay.

Having had to endure many a racket throughout the day the security staff were visibly moved by the music of the Revsters. Despite there being no cracks in the patrician facade of this gruff looking chap you could tell he was grooving in his head.

The press gallery stayed long enough to snare a few snaps but left quickly to get to the next big scoop. Next day local rag, THE AGE, ran a report on the event which featured stock footage of teenagers crowdsurfing, recycled reports on 'main attraction', OASIS, claiming more or less they were the defining band of generation X. No other acts rated a mention. Nice work if you can get it.

Did you know : Hobart's Hey Mook did a cover version of Godess of the Highway long before the Rev became hip around town.
