HEY MOOK
CRASH INTO YOU

hey mook - crash into you

Hobart's Hey Mook provide a humble combination of acoustic lamenting and ballad style rock tunes, characterised by the presence of instruments such as the banjo, the mandolin and the harp. Each of the ten songs on crash into you echo those familiar Cordrazine like Australian sounds, yet every now and again there's a hint of Radio Head.

After a few listens I feel that the refrains are a little too common and overdone, yet tracks such as the beautiful ballad 'Come Along Sweetness' and the experimental 'San Fransisco' are encouraging of both the band's potential and musicianship.
